Texas is reclassifying Delta-8 and other hemp-derived THC products as controlled substances, banning inventory from being sold.

A video capturing a disruption at a Ken Paxton campaign stop in Texas is making the rounds on social media.
The video, posted by a New York Times journalist, shows a woman holding a Talarico sign being escorted out of Paxton’s campaign stop in Allen, Texas, on Aug. 4. People in the crowd can be heard booing as she is escorted from the event.
Paxton, who is facing democratic Texas state Rep. James Talarico for U.S. Senate in the November general election announced he would visit several cities in the Lone Star State this week as part of his Protecting the Texas Promise Tour.
The woman also appears to shout something toward the Texas attorney general as she is being removed, though it is unclear from the video what she is saying.

The Protecting the Texas Promise Tour will make the following stops:

- Saturday, Aug. 7: San Antonio
Talarico announces New American Dream Tour in Texas
Talarico will also be campaigning across the Lone Star State starting Aug. 5 with a stop in Arlington, he announced on X.
