Many stores, public markets and tourist attractions will remain open in Montreal Monday for National Patriots’ Day — known elsewhere in Canada as Victoria Day, though banks, government offices and some transit services will operate on reduced schedules or close altogether.. Here’s a rundown of what to expect in Montreal on Monday, May 18.. Many stores and shopping malls will be open, including the Eaton Centre and Complexe Desjardins.. The Société des alcools du Québec

(SAQ) and Société québécoise du cannabis (SQDC) stores will be open.. Hours may vary by location.. Public markets including the Atwater, Maisonneuve and Jean-Talon markets will be open..
