For winter travelers planning a getaway that feels a little like escape therapy, United’s next move out of Denver couldn’t line up more cleanly with the calendar.

Over the weekend. United Airlines filed plans to launch flights from its Denver International Airport (DEN) hub to Providenciales International Airport (PLS). the main airport in Turks and Caicos. The seasonal service is designed for the cold months in Colorado. running during the winter season when Denver travelers typically look for sun.

After the filing, the scope of the route is also becoming clearer. Denver will be the westernmost U.S. location to offer flights to this Caribbean beach destination known for its stunning white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters. DEN will also become the fourth United hub connected to Providenciales International Airport (PLS). joining Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Dulles International Airport (IAD).

For Turks and Caicos travelers, the flight news lands on top of a busy hotel runway. The islands have been seeing a wave of new openings and properties under construction, including a luxurious new Marriott Bonvoy resort and the first World of Hyatt property currently in the works.

One of the biggest reasons points travelers are paying attention is what’s coming next. The Andaz Turks and Caicos at Grace Bay is now taking reservations ahead of its June 2027 opening. It will be the first Turks and Caicos option for World of Hyatt loyalists—including travelers with points through Chase Travel or the Bilt program. which both transfer directly to Hyatt.

That debut is arriving after an IHG-affiliated Hotel Indigo that opened earlier this year. The hotel scene also includes a one-year-old Marriott Luxury Collection property on the island of South Caicos that ranked among TPG’s most exciting hotel openings last year.

Even with more choices. the arrival of nonstop service from Denver is likely to be the detail that changes day-to-day planning. For a destination with a reputation built on beaches and clear water, a new Saturday-only option starting Dec. 19, 2026 could make the trip feel far more reachable—especially from one of the busiest U.S. airports.

  1. Dec 19 2026 is right before Christmas chaos, so of course they pick that date. 1 day a week or what? I’m just picturing people getting stuck in Denver delays.

  2. They say it’s Saturdays through April, but also “holiday rush” like everyone will magically make it. Plus I don’t trust the 737 MAX 9, like isn’t that the one they had issues with? Maybe they mean 737-8 or something.

  3. Denver being the westernmost US spot to fly there sounds made up but okay. I’m from Omaha and we always get skipped on routes anyway. Also 20 first class recliners? That’s wild, I wonder if they’ll charge a fortune. The hotels in Turks and Caicos are already expensive too, so it’s probably gonna be a “rich people escape therapy” flight.
