Sports Seriously
Then 2026-27 UEFA Champions League’s third qualifying round wraps up Tuesday, Aug. 11, with 10 second-leg matches that will decide which teams advance to the playoff round.
Eight of the 10 ties are separated by one goal or level after the first leg, setting up some dramatic finishes across Europe. The ten winners head to the playoff round – the final stage before the “Champions League proper” – and will be joined by four teams who advanced directly to the playoff.
The 36-team league phase begins in September with each club playing eight midweek matches through the end of January 2027.
