Tyler Herro brother drops Bucks hint amid Heat rumors

With the NBA Finals underway, Miami Heat discussions are already shifting toward the future. Tyler Herro’s brother posted a cryptic hint on Instagram as Herro and Andrew Wiggins continue to be linked to the Milwaukee Bucks in a possible package for Giannis Ant

The NBA Finals are running, with the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs playing for a championship. But in Miami, the buzz is already moving past the season.

The Miami Heat have been weighing what comes next for Tyler Herro and Andrew Wiggins. with both names stuck in trade rumors for months. Those conversations have focused on one potential centerpiece: Giannis Antetokounmpo. the Milwaukee Bucks star the Heat could target if they decide to break their current roster structure.

Herro, an All-Star, has often been positioned as the more attractive lure. The 26-year-old is widely discussed as the centerpiece of a Heat trade package aimed at landing Antetokounmpo.

Then came a small post that set off a bigger ripple. Amid the ongoing chatter, Herro’s brother made a cryptic comment on the former Kentucky standout’s latest Instagram post. The reaction landed quickly online, with fans reading into the tone and timing as if it were a message.

One user wrote: “It’s FR happening?. Mane. this got me sad ASF. but happy for bro. ” while another added. “Please. don’t be trolling.” Several messages pushed back or tried to steer the trade narrative elsewhere—“They gotta trade Norm (Powell) instead of you. bro. ” one comment said—before more straightforward farewells followed: “Gonna miss you. bro. Good luck in Milwaukee,” along with “Thank you for your time in Miami.”.

Not everyone was convinced. “My heart is broken! I hope it’s a rumor, but it’s hard to ignore. Hope you stay, but wish you the best no matter what,” a fan wrote—capturing the emotional split that has followed Herro in this cycle of uncertainty.

There’s also a personal layer to the speculation. Herro grew up in Milwaukee, so a move to the Bucks would be a homecoming if the rumors ever solidify.

On the court, this season was complicated for him by health. Herro was limited to 33 games due to an ankle injury, and he averaged 20.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.1 assists.

Antetokounmpo, for his part, has reportedly said he wants to remain in the Eastern Conference, which keeps Miami very much in the mix. That preference is part of why a Miami landing still feels plausible even as the NBA’s biggest series continues to dominate attention.

A multi-player package has already been mapped out in public trade conversations: a deal built around Herro. Wiggins. and Kel’El Ware for Antetokounmpo. That proposed framework was successful on ESPN’s Trade Machine—but the Bucks could still push back on the specifics. with the possibility that they want draft assets rather than Wiggins.

For now, the Knicks and Spurs stay focused on the Finals. Miami, though, is already living in the next chapter—where one Instagram comment from Herro’s brother may say more to fans than any official timeline ever could.

  1. I didn’t even read the whole thing but the headline already sounds like he’s gone. People are always “cryptic” when they wanna cover it up lol. If Giannis is involved tho, Miami’s gonna fold.

  2. Wait I thought Andrew Wiggins was on the wrong team already or something? Like I’m confused, NBA rumors switch every day. If it’s Herro + Wiggins for Giannis then okay but why are they even talking about Kentucky Instagram posts like that means anything.

  3. Not gonna lie, that “don’t be trolling” comment makes me think it’s real real. Miami always talks like “future plans” and then suddenly half the roster is gone. Also they keep saying trade Norm Powell instead… wouldn’t that make more sense than Herro??
