Marcia Cross said she was overwhelmed by the “tsunami of love” at a fan convention in Paris that reunited parts of the Desperate Housewives cast—posting details, photos, and the message that the bond with fellow stars and fans still feels like heaven.
Marcia Cross walked into a Paris fan convention and stepped straight back into the heart of “Desperate Housewives” fandom—at least for a few bright, photo-filled days.
On Wednesday, June 10, the actress, 64, shared an Instagram post reflecting on the event and the way the crowd showed up. “I will never be able to express how absolutely moved I was and still am by the tsunami of love that poured out of everyone at the convention. ” Cross wrote. “Each and every one of you touches me with your hearts and souls. And the reunion with our cast mates was sheer heaven.”.
The convention—named “The Desperate Con”—took place in Paris last month. It was a two-day event and marked the first time the stars of the series reunited as a large group nearly 14 years after the Desperate Housewives finale. Cross added video content from the gathering, including a clip of cast members posing for a group photo.
Cross. who played Bree Van de Kamp on Desperate Housewives for eight seasons. was among several stars who attended the fan convention for the ABC drama. In the posted group image, she sat between Richard Burgi and Doug Savant. Mark Moses and Cody Kasch were also in the same row. Behind Cross, James Denton and Brenda Strong stood and smiled for photos.
The back row included Charlie Carver, Beau Mirchoff, Nicollette Sheridan, Josh Henderson, Andrea Bowen and Shawn Pyfrom.
Neal McDonough was also at the reunion, but he was not visible in the group pic. He previously appeared in additional social media clips from the event.
Cross also shared a separate photo showing herself wearing a golden statement gown. along with a muffin basket she received—small details that made the day feel personal. not ceremonial. Nearly 14 years after the finale and they’re still doing reunions, wow. I swear I saw somewhere Neal McDonough wasn’t coming, but now he’s at it? Like if he’s not in the photo does that mean he wasn’t really there or they just edited him out? Idk, but the group pic probably makes my mom happy so I’ll take it.
