Tyler Farr Sidelines Goshen Stampede After Farming Accident

The rodeos were already on the schedule at the Goshen Stampede in Connecticut, but Tyler Farr won’t be riding into the lineup.

Event organizers announced the show’s cancellation after Farr sustained a “severe concussion” in a farming accident on his property. In a social media statement posted Saturday. June 13. the organizers said a “motor vehicle incident on his farm” led to Farr being taken to a local hospital. where he was diagnosed with a severe concussion. Because of that, Farr “will no longer be able to perform at the Goshen Stampede on June 13, 2026.”.

Organizers asked for understanding and said they would share additional event information as it becomes available. They also wrote a simple wish for his recovery, adding, “We wish Tyler a speedy recovery.”

The festival didn’t pause for long. Farr, 42, was replaced by David Foster and the All Stars during the festival. The event statement said. “We are fortunate to have David Foster and the All Stars step in for Tyler. ” and described the group as a New England staple led by Dr. David “Lefty” Foster. Organizers said the All Stars will perform “legendary classic rock. country and R&B hits. ” pointing to their past appearances at Mohegan Sun Casino.

The Instagram message ended with the event’s focus shifting back to the grounds outside: “The Goshen Stampede is full steam ahead with all everts. and we’re excited to get down. dirty and country with two huge rodeos. truck pulls. monster trucks. great food. carnival rides and family fun!. Gates open at 11 a.m. today. Let’s rodeo!”.

Farr has not addressed his condition or the cancellation. The country singer rose to fame in 2012, and the statement comes after Farr released his newest EP, Quit Bein’ Country, late last year.

In an earlier interview from November 2012. Farr tied his rural upbringing to the songwriting that defined his early breakthrough—describing growing up in Garden City. Missouri. a town of about 1. 000 people—along with the idea that. for many. the choice is often between taking over a family farm or working a union job.
