Trump to speak 9 p.m. as fireworks begin 10:30

Trump’s July – President Donald Trump is expected to attend the Fourth of July fireworks show on the National Mall, starting with a 9 p.m. speech and fireworks around 10:30 p.m. ET, organized under Freedom 250’s “Salute to America 250 Celebration and Fireworks.” Here’s what

By the time the first speakers step up, Independence Day on the National Mall is already carrying a specific kind of weight. For President Donald Trump, the day is set around one clear moment: a scheduled speaking appearance at 9 p.m. local time, before fireworks shift into their late-night rhythm.

Freedom 250 — the White House-backed public-private partnership behind major July 4 events on the National Mall — is expected to host Trump’s participation in the holiday fireworks on July 4. The group is separate from the America250 effort. with Freedom 250 launched through the Task Force 250 initiative to plan events outside America250.

Freedom 250’s role in the holiday buildup has been closely linked with another high-profile event it backs: the Great American State Fair. That fair began June 25 and, in its first days, drew sparse crowds despite Trump’s public messaging. Trump had claimed the fair was “packed with happy people.”

Before Freedom 250 turns fully toward fireworks, Trump helped kick off the state fair on June 24, delivering a rally appearance where he highlighted anti-transgender policies, praised immigration agents implementing his deportation push, and promoted a preliminary peace deal with Iran.

As July 4 approaches, the next question has been where Trump will be and what his evening will look like. For now, the itinerary centers on Washington’s skyline — and a late start.

Trump is expected to attend the Fourth of July fireworks show on the National Mall in Washington on July 4. Trump described the event as a “rally,” and said he will begin speaking at 9 p.m. local time. The fireworks show is part of Freedom 250’s “Salute to America 250 Celebration and Fireworks.”

According to Freedom 250’s website, the fireworks will begin around 10:30 p.m. ET, later than usual. The show will take place at the Washington Monument. Officials say more than 850. 000 firework shells will be launched from 10 sites. and the president is calling it the largest fireworks show in history. The fireworks are expected to last for 40 minutes.

The sequence is tight: Trump’s speech is set first, then the show follows about an hour and a half later, with the timing backed by Freedom 250’s event plan.

What happens after the fireworks, though, is where the uncertainty remains. The president’s plans for the rest of July 4 are not yet known, and the White House did not immediately respond to a request for more information.

Freedom 250’s July 4 framework, meanwhile, is already visible: a White House-backed partnership running its own National Mall celebrations separate from America250, with Trump’s presence positioned at the top of the evening program.

  1. I don’t get why they need a whole “Freedom 250” group for fireworks. Like isn’t July 4 already a thing without all this Task Force whatever.

  2. Wait Freedom 250 is separate from America250 but it’s also White House-backed? That’s kinda confusing. And didn’t he say the state fair was “packed”? Maybe everyone was there but we just didn’t see it on the news.

  3. Fireworks are gonna start at 10:30 and he goes at 9… okay. But I’m more stuck on that anti-transgender stuff and deportation agents part, like he can’t just do normal patriotic stuff without turning it into politics. Also “peace deal with Iran” like I feel like that never even happened right? Either way, people just want red white and boom not a rally.
