Trump Blasts “Fake News” as Iran Talks Stall

President Donald Trump pushed back hard on a report that Iranian and U.S. negotiations had stalled, blaming what he called “fake news” and insisting the talks have kept moving “continuously.”
The dispute flared publicly after Iranian state media said Iran had suspended negotiations with the United States over Israel’s activities in Lebanon. That suspension, the Iranian report added, came in the shadow of heavy rocket fire into Israel from Hezbollah.
On Tuesday. Trump wrote on Truth Social that “Fake News Reports that the Islamic Republic of Iran. and the U.S.A. stopped speaking a few days ago are false and erroneous.” He then argued the exchanges have continued across multiple days. saying the conversations “have been going on continuously. ” listing “four days ago. three days ago. two days ago. one day ago. and today.”.
He acknowledged the uncertainty of where the talks lead, writing that “one never knows,” but added a blunt message he said he delivered to Iran: “It’s time, one way or another, for you to make a Deal. You’ve been doing this for 47 years, and it cannot be allowed to go on any longer!”
The Iranian announcement that prompted Trump’s outburst came Monday from the semiofficial Iranian news agency Tasnim. in translations that circulated with the report. Tasnim said the “Iranian negotiating team will suspend ‘talks and the exchange of texts through mediators’” until Israel withdraws from Lebanon.
Tasnim also claimed Iranian officials and negotiators emphasized conditions tied to both Lebanon and Gaza. It said “the immediate cessation of the Zionist regime’s aggressive and brutal army operations in Gaza and Lebanon” and “the necessity of the regime’s complete withdrawal from the occupied areas in Lebanon” were stressed. and that “there will be no talks until Iran and the resistance’s views on this matter are met.”.
Iran’s Foreign Affairs Ministry, in a separate statement on Monday, said the U.S. “bears direct responsibility both for the violations of the ceasefire against Iran and for the violations committed by the Zionist regime against Lebanon.”
Trump’s latest insistence that talks are ongoing followed another flurry of public messaging after a reportedly fiery phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday night. After that call. Trump posted again on Truth Social with the same demand directed at Iran’s military. urging it to “shout. ‘I surrender. I surrender.’”.

Fake news is fake until it’s your guy right?
So Iran suspended talks because of Lebanon/Hezbollah stuff but Trump’s like no they didn’t stop? Idk man. It sounds like nobody’s actually talking, just yelling on different channels.
Calling it “going on continuously” while they’re literally saying they suspended through mediators feels like word games. Also the part about Israel/ Gaza being tied in—doesn’t that mean the talks were already dead?
Trump always says fake news, and then it’s like ok so what’s real then? One never knows but also it’s time to make a deal?? Meanwhile rockets into Israel and then people are shocked the negotiations stall. I swear they’re just trying to look tough so nobody loses face, regardless of what’s “continuously” happening.
