9.9/10 sounds made up. Like who’s actually reviewing backups when half the time nobody checks until something breaks? Also support quality matters but I feel like all these companies say they’re great.
I don’t get how “ease of setup” beats everything. If I gotta fiddle with my payroll exports and connect SaaS anyway, it’s not easy. But sure, IDrive leading makes sense cuz it sounds familiar from ads.
G2 ranking this stuff is wild, because I’ve used one “top rated” backup and it still failed when my computer crashed. Not saying the list is wrong but review confidence of 1,704… ok? I also feel like backup software is just a fancy way to sell subscriptions. Why isn’t there a ‘restore in 5 minutes’ test or whatever.
