Gordon Ramsay fires up Scotland ahead of Haiti opener

TV chef Gordon Ramsay visited the Scotland camp in Massachusetts on the eve of their World Cup opener against Haiti at Gillette Stadium, as the Scots aim to start their first tournament appearance since 1998 with a statement.
Gordon Ramsay arrived at the Scotland camp in Massachusetts with the kind of noise only a home fan can bring.
On the eve of the team’s first World Cup appearance since 1998. the 59-year-old Hell’s Kitchen star dressed in a Scotland strip. offered words of encouragement to Steve Clarke’s squad. and posed for photos with captain Andy Robertson. The timing mattered. Scotland’s opener against Haiti is scheduled for the early hours of Saturday morning. with kick-off at 2am BST at Gillette Stadium.
The match has quickly gathered a “must-win” label, with what follows shaped as a brutal test of where Scotland really stand. After Haiti, Scotland face Africa Cup of Nations winners Morocco in Boston on June 19, before a tough task against Brazil in Miami four days later.
Ramsay’s connection to the squad runs deeper than a guest visit. Born in Johnstone, Scotland, he moved to England when he was young. In the past he has also represented the Rest of the World team in charity match Soccer Aid. Before his career in the kitchen. he chased a footballing path of his own. including a trial with Scottish giants Rangers—until a knee injury ended his hopes of making it as a player.
In comments to talkSPORT, Ramsay made his loyalty plain: “I’ve always been a Scot through and through, right? That’s obvious.”
Now the spotlight turns back to Clarke’s side and how they handle the pressure of opening their World Cup story with Haiti. The tournament setup is unforgiving too: there are 12 groups. with the top two teams from each group reaching the round of 32. joined by the eight best third-place teams—leaving no room for hesitation when the first whistle goes.

Why is Ramsay in Scotland camp instead of like, actually cooking?
Must-win already?? That’s crazy, I feel like teams get way more leeway than that. Also 2am?? I’m not staying up for Haiti unless Morocco is secretly easy.
He dressed in a Scotland strip and that’s supposed to help them win? lol. I’m pretty sure the real game is whoever has better streaming. And Haiti is gonna fold just because it’s early morning for Scotland or whatever.
I don’t even get the schedule part, like how is it “first tournament appearance since 1998” but they’re playing Morocco June 19 and Brazil right after? Feels like they’re rushing. Ramsay played for Rangers? So now he’s basically the coach?? Steve Clarke better not start with the wrong lineup just cause Gordon showed up in Scotland gear.
