Still, the show’s quick success has never gone away. “NCIS: Tony & Ziva” earned an identical 82% Rotten Tomatoes score upon its release, and it spread fast on streaming. The cancellation sparked a fan campaign that helped push the series back onto Paramount+’s viewership charts. and fans didn’t stop there: they also bought a billboard to make the case that the Tiva show was worth saving.
Now, there’s finally a chance to see Weatherly and de Pablo together in person after the shutdown—and it’s happening at a massive pop-culture gathering. Heroes World, taking place at Brussels Expo in Belgium, has announced that both stars will attend as special guests from October 17 through 18.
Attendees will be able to pay for photoshoots. selfies. and a duo shoot with both sides of Tiva. along with other meet-and-greet opportunities tied to the event. Every Heroes World ticket also includes access to a Q&A with the stars. giving fans a chance to ask whatever they’ve been holding onto—about “NCIS: Tony & Ziva. ” “NCIS. ” or any of their other roles.
For Weatherly and de Pablo, the venue also fits the story of their streaming run: their series brought Tony and Ziva across Europe. Heroes World says more guests are expected to be announced in the run-up to the convention, and tickets are already on sale.
As that meet-and-greet date approaches. “NCIS” isn’t stopping either—CBS is preparing a new spin-off called “NCIS: New York.” It brings back LL COOL J’s Sam Hanna. placing him back in his hometown to work in a new field office and partner with a roguish new agent played by Scott Caan. The series is set to premiere this fall in the 9 p.m. time slot on Tuesdays, with “Kingdom” creator Byron Balasco as showrunner and “The Pitt” helmer R. Scott Gemmill returning to handle the pilot.
There’s no word yet on whether other familiar faces will join. but Chris O’Donnell—LL COOL J’s former colleague—said he’s open to appearing. adding: “Any opportunity to spend time with Todd is something I would do. We’ll see. Callen’s still out there somewhere. I don’t know what he’s doing, but I’m happy for Todd. I think it’s a great idea, he’s from New York, and I think the show will be terrific.”.
