Tomodachi Life 1.0.3 fixes progression, closes rare crashes

Nintendo has released the Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream version 1.0.3 update, focused largely on bug fixes. The patch targets progression issues, rare money display errors, satisfaction-related crashes, incorrect sweetheart/marriage day displays, camera zoo
Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream version 1.0.3 is out now on Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo’s message is clear: the update is mostly about removing the kinds of stumbles that can freeze a cozy routine.
The biggest changes read like the moments players fear most—stalled progression, money that doesn’t show up correctly, and an error that could push the game to close. Nintendo also tightened local play behavior with a new naming restriction tied to island names and player names.
In version 1.0.3. Nintendo fixed an issue that could prevent game progression after trying to visit a Mii character from the Mii List while that same Mii entered or exited the Ferris wheel. The update also addresses a rare money display problem: on rare occasions. receiving money could prevent the amount from displaying properly. which then blocked progression.
There’s also a rare crash scenario in the patch notes. Nintendo says that, on rare occasion, repeatedly raising a Mii character’s satisfaction level could trigger an error and cause the game to close.
Other fixes in the update tackle what players would likely notice during everyday island life. The number of days after becoming sweethearts or after getting married could display incorrectly. The camera could zoom in too much when giving a Mii character a head rub. Occasionally, some objects wouldn’t display correctly during Mii News or within the photo studio.
Nintendo also corrected content and behavior issues. If a Mii character had all the clothing items needed to create a particular outfit, the game didn’t respond as if the Mii owned that outfit. In another fix, lingo taught to Mii characters wasn’t always spoken aloud fully.
Beyond the bug list, Nintendo added a clear constraint for local play. Mii characters or other creations can’t be sent via local play if the island name or player name “contains numbers or text that is subject to display restrictions.”
