Tom Holland confirms secret wedding, praises Zendaya

In an Esquire interview, Tom Holland addressed AI-shared wedding photos and effectively confirmed he and Zendaya are married, explaining that some of his family believed they weren’t invited—until they turned out to be at the event.

Tom Holland didn’t just shut down the chatter about those AI wedding photos — he seemed to confirm the couple’s private ceremony was real.

In a new interview with Esquire on Tuesday, Holland talked about how the images shocked the internet, and how some of his own family were fooled by them. He said his grandmother saw the pictures and thought she hadn’t been invited.

When asked whether he needed to send messages to calm confused relatives, Holland replied, “No, because they were all there.”

He wouldn’t add more. “That’s all you’ll get on that,” he teased.

The moment landed hard online because the rumors have been moving for weeks: Zendaya’s longtime friend and stylist Law Roach previously said the wedding had already taken place at the 2026 Actor Awards. Holland’s comments didn’t provide a date or additional specifics. but they did give the clearest kind of confirmation the internet was asking for.

From there, Holland turned to the other side of the story — the relationship itself. He described how their connection has helped them handle the pressures that come with their lives. “Our business can present very stressful situations and it’s really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time. ” he said.

He added that they support each other in ways others can’t because they truly understand what day-to-day life looks like on this level. “We can support each other in ways that only we can. because only we understand really what it’s like to live this life. ” Holland said. He called it “such a luxury,” insisting he “just” wouldn’t know how to have that with anyone else.

Holland didn’t sound guarded or careful when he got emotional. “So, for me, I found my person,” he said. “She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I have ever been when I’m with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period.”

He also looked back to how it all started. The first time he met Zendaya was when she auditioned in 2016 for the role of Michelle “MJ” Jones in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Holland said he was excited about the chance to work with her and learn her as a person. “She smashed her audition out the park and got the part before she’d even left the room,” he recalled.

He described a moment after she closed the door to leave, saying producer Amy Pascal immediately responded, “Well, she’s getting the job.”

Holland’s tone makes one thing clear: for him. the wedding chatter is happening in the same space as genuine devotion. The internet can argue about photos and rumors. but his wording — “they were all there” — carries the weight of lived reality. And after everything. the couple’s biggest headline may be the most human one: that they managed to keep something deeply personal private. even while the world was trying to piece it together from AI images.
