Tina Knowles celebrated her daughter Beyoncé Knowles-Carter on her 45th birthday with a touching message.
The businesswoman, designer and mother of Beyoncé and Solange Knowles posted to Instagram on the singer’s 45th birthday Sept 4. a heartfelt message alongside a photo taken shortly after she gave birth to Beyoncé.
“Reminiscing on this day 45 years ago. You took nine hours to come. I am exhausted in this photo, but the happiest I’ve ever been in my life up to this point on this day,” she said. “We are making our first eye contact. The connection is so strong and so beautiful and so powerful. It’s never been broken and it never will.”
She continued to share what she admired most about the Grammy-winning singer.
“Out of all the beautiful things about you, the thing I love the most is your huge heart! It is the thing that I’m the most proud of. You are an extraordinary human being first. Even through all the sometimes terrible noise, you keep going and moving forward. Creating, loving, lifting up others constantly, making history, using that genius mind, working your butt off, minding your own damn business, and living your life to the fullest,” she wrote.
The “Cowboy Carter” singer kicked off her birthday celebrations with the 20th anniversary edition of her sophomore album “B’Day,” released Sept. 3. The full digital deluxe version features 31 tracks.
The latest version includes a handful of unreleased tunes including previously unreleased tracks “Creole,” “Lost Yo Mind,” “My First Time,” “Back Up,” and “Can I Watch You” featuring Pharrell Williams in addition to the original 2006 songs. The anniversary project also includes Spanish versions of songs like “Get Me Bodied” (Mueve el Cuerpo) with rapper and singer-songwriter Maluma and “Irreplaceable” with a sample of the late legend Selena.
Leading up to its release, Beyoncé released a deluxe “B’Day” vinyl with a 60-page collectible booklet, including “B’Day” era imagery and an anniversary “B’Day” CD. Beyoncé first teased the anniversary project when she officially released her song “Morning Dew (Donk)” on July 4. She later dropped a remix featuring husband Jay-Z.
“B’Day” was originally released on Beyoncé’s 25th birthday on Sept. 4, 2006, by Columbia Records, Music World Entertainment and Sony Urban Music. The 13-track project, which later came with accompanying music videos, became the blueprint for Beyoncé’s superstar status after her successful debut studio album became the launchpad.
Fans are eagerly waiting to see whether Beyoncé will make a surprise appearance during Jay-Z’s London concert on her birthday.
