‘The Pitt’ cast, Noah Wyle returns in Season 3 first look and teaser

“The Pitt” Season 3, set to air in January on HBO, will pick up four months after the July 4 shift depicted in Season 2.
Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch (Noah Wyle) is back from his sabbatical and plunged right back into the fire and fury of Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center as the first teaser and first look images for Season 3 of “The Pitt” dropped Aug. 21.
The critically acclaimed HBO medical series, which earned a leading 25 EmmyAward nominations for Season 2, will return for Season 3 in January 2027.
The upcoming season takes place in November, months after the emotion-filled July 4 shift depicted in Season 2, which saw Robby preparing to leave for a motorcycle sabbatical across the country.
The new season sees Robby returning to work. Judging from the big sigh on the elevator, as Robby wraps his stethoscope around his neck like only Wyle can, he’s not exactly refreshed and eager to step back into the emergency room.
“I thought you had run away and joined the circus,” charge nurse Dana Evans (Katherine LaNasa) tells him.
“They haven’t fired you yet?” Robby shoots right back. The two longtime friends are still getting over butting heads in Season 2.
“I knew my first day was going to be hard dealing with what we deal with here,” Robby says, as the trailer shows clips of emergency room mayhem. “Things can get a little crazy.”
For those who wondered if Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi (Sepideh Moafi) would return to duty after her Season 2 health crisis, the teaser gives a definitive answer: She’s back in uniform.
And, as expected, the tension between Robby and Dr. Langdon (Patrick Ball) is still alive and kicking.
“Robby, welcome back,” Langdon tells him as Robby pushes the elevator button.
“Thanks,” he replies, looking back at the elevator.
Season 3 also stars Fiona Dourif (Dr. McKay), Taylor Dearden (Dr. King), Isa Briones (Dr. Santos), Gerran Howell (Dr. Whitaker), Shabana Azeez (Javadi), Ayesha Harris (Dr. Ellis) and Shawn Hatosy (Dr. Abbot).
