‘The Bear’ Season 5 lands June 25 with final finale

FX and Hulu will debut the final season of “The Bear” on Thursday, June 25, with all eight episodes available on Hulu at launch and two episodes airing on FX that night, followed by weekly broadcasts through August 6.

The countdown isn’t subtle anymore. When “The Bear” returns for what FX is calling its fifth and final season, it won’t just be another late-night binge for fans—it will be the last push for the team at the center of the show’s most exhausted, high-stakes kitchen chaos.

“The Bear” Season 5 premieres Thursday, June 25 at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT on FX and Hulu. Hulu will make all eight episodes available at launch on June 25. while FX will begin with two episodes that night at 9 p.m. ET/PT. After that, new episodes will arrive weekly on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT through August 6.

The final run follows the morning after Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richard (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and Natalie (Abby Elliott) discover that Head Chef Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) has quit the food industry and left the restaurant behind.

“With no money. the threat of a sale and a torrential storm in their way. ” the series synopsis says. the new partners must band together with the rest of the team to carry out “one last service. ” “hoping they’ll finally earn a Michelin star.” The synopsis adds they ultimately learn that what makes a restaurant “perfect” “might not be the food. but the people.”.

That “people” theme arrives at a moment the show has already spent years turning into television language—one built from performance. deadlines. and pressure. Since premiering in 2022. “The Bear” has racked up more than 20 Emmy wins. including honors for stars Moss-Bachrach. Bernthal. White. Curtis. Edebiri and Liza Colón-Zayas. Season 1 also won the Emmy for outstanding comedy series, and each subsequent season has been nominated in the category.

In May. ahead of dropping a surprise flashback episode titled “Gary. ” FX announced “The Bear” would return for its “fifth and final season” on July 25. The unexpected standalone is one-hour flashback content that takes place before the events of Season 1 and centers on Richie (Moss-Bachrach) going on a work trip to Gary. Indiana. with Mikey (Jon Bernthal).

Earlier in February, Curtis teased the end of the series by posting a photo with costar Abby Elliott on Instagram. She wrote that they “FINISHED STRONG” and completed “the story of this extraordinary family that we have all fallen in love with.”
