Taylor Swift attends Knicks Game 4 with Haim sisters and punny shirts
Taylor Swift and pals Este & Alana Haim sat courtside at Madison Square Garden wearing t-shirts with Knicks puns.
Este Haim is opening up about her longtime friendship with Taylor Swift, and according to the Haim bassist, their bond goes far beyond music.
Haim reflected on her more than decade-long friendship with the pop superstar, calling Swift a “sister” and praising her for being a constant source of support, during an Aug. 7 appearance on Owen Thiele’s “In Your Dreams” podcast.
“She really is a sister. She’s a sister,” Haim told Thiele. “Taylor and I have known each other since 2014. I love her more than anything. She’s the best.”
Haim described Swift as “the most supportive, caring, kind” friend.
Thiele, who stars in the FX comedy series “Adults,” recalled being surprised by just how closely Swift had watched the show, saying she was able to reference specific moments from the series. “She’s so locked in and she just cares,” Thiele said.
Haim agreed, adding, “I love that … my girl watches everything.”
Haim and her bandmate sisters, Danielle and Alana Haim, have shared a close friendship with Swift for years, with their relationship also extending into their music careers. The sisters collaborated with Swift on “No Body, No Crime” from her 2020 album, “Evermore.” Haim later joined Swift on stage to perform the song during her six shows in Los Angeles on her record-breaking Eras Tour.

Their relationship has remained close more than a decade after it began. Este Haim and her sisters were among the guests at Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden.
Haim – like Swift – has largely kept details from the celebration private, previously joking that fans may have to wait “like 50 years” before she shares the inside scoop. “I think we’ll leave that for future tell-all when I’m 90,” Haim told Access Hollywood.
Later in the podcast, Haim opened up about her own wedding to Jonathan Levin and shared details from their New Year’s Eve wedding in Ojai, California, which Swift also attended.
Haim revealed that the day after the celebration, she and her wedding guests gathered at the Ojai Playhouse for a day of movies. She credited the idea to filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson.
Haim said Anderson suggested renting out the theater and even provided some of the film prints for the gathering. “It was the sweetest, kindest thing anyone’s ever done for me,” Haim said.
