Target plans 11 new July stores across 10 states

Target plans – Target is preparing to open 11 stores across 10 states on July 26, as part of 30 planned openings in 2026 and a broader effort to add more than 300 stores over the next decade.

By the time July arrives, Target will be hard to miss in a growing slice of the map. The retailer is set to open 11 new stores in 10 states on July 26, a rollout Target says is meant to bring a more distinct shopping experience to local communities.

The company confirmed the plan in a statement it shared on Jan. 8, describing the new locations as part of 30 planned openings in 2026. Target said each store is designed to deliver “Target’s elevated guest experience and differentiated style. design and value while strengthening local communities through good-paying jobs.”.

Target’s July openings will stretch from the Southwest to the Midwest and beyond, with locations announced in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, and Utah.

The 11 stores are scheduled to open on July 26 at the following addresses:

1517 S Signal Butte Rd., Mesa, Arizona. 1688 N Perris Blvd., Perris, California. 4358 City Centre Rd., Firestone, Colorado. 6065 Lake Nona Blvd., Orlando, Florida. 3000 Vandalay Dr., Frankfort, Kentucky. 1655 Boston Rd., Springfield, Massachusetts. 1810 Sandifer Blvd., Seneca, South Carolina. 801 Lefevre Dr., Brookings, South Dakota. 11520 E US 80, Forney, Texas. 26550 E University Dr., Aubrey, Texas. 1300 Main St., Logan, Utah.

Target’s push doesn’t end with this single month. The company said it plans to open more than 300 stores over the next decade as part of its long-term growth strategy.

Adrienne Costanzo, Target’s Chief Stores Officer, tied the expansion to staffing and community impact, saying in a news release: “Our continued commitment to opening new stores is really about showing up for our guests and our communities — and it starts with our incredible store team members.”

The scale of the plan—11 stores in one go, 30 across all of 2026, and more than 300 over the next decade—puts Target in a clear growth posture as it tries to pair new footprints with a consistent message about jobs and local demand.

  1. Wait July 26?? That’s like, right around the corner. I heard they’re opening “11” in random states but somehow that’s supposed to be good for communities? Sounds like PR.

  2. Okay but is this the one in Texas near Forney or the other one in Aubrey? I always get those mixed up. Also if they’re hiring “good-paying jobs” how come every Target I’ve been to still feels understaffed and stuff is always locked up behind glass.

  3. Target keeps growing but my local one closed in my neighborhood last year… so maybe they mean good-paying jobs for the people moving in? And 300 stores over a decade… that’s like the whole country lol. I’m just worried it’ll be more traffic on the roads (like that Mesa address) and fewer places to shop without driving everywhere.
