New York Jets vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
There is plenty of hype around this one between the Jets’ young core and how Cade Klubnik played in Week 1, as well as the ongoing QB2 battle for the Steelers.
| Jets vs. Steelers | Jets | Steelers |
|---|---|---|
| Moneyline: | 40% | 61% |
| Spread: | +3.5 (59%) | -3.5 (46%) |
| Total: | Over 39.5 (49%) | Under 39.5 (51%) |
We should get an extended look at Klubnik in this one if Geno Smith starts the game. Klubnik went 5/7 for 56 yards and is currently listed as the Jets’ QB2.
For the Steelers, it’ll be a mixture of Drew Allar, Mason Rudolph, and Will Howard, who are competing for QB2. Allar made a big impression in Week 1, going 10/13 for 153 yards and two touchdowns. He also added a rushing touchdown.
Buffalo Bills vs. Cleveland Browns
After the Buffalo Bills played their starters for a portion of Week 1, they’ll all be rested in Week 2 vs. the Browns. The Browns are the main storyline of this one with their open QB competition between Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson.
| Bills vs. Browns | Bills | Browns |
|---|---|---|
| Moneyline: | 42% | 63% |
| Spread: | +3 (52%) | -3 (53%) |
| Total: | Over 36.5 (51%) | Under 36.5 (51%) |
Watson started and played a good chunk of Week 1, throwing for 126 scoreless yards on 11/15 passing. Sanders is set to make the start in Week 2 as part of the competition after he went 6/11 for 79 yards and one interception last week.
As a part of the competition for the Browns, several starters will play, including receivers Jerry Jeudy, Denzel Boston, and running back Quinshon Judkins.
New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Rams
The Saints did not play QB1 Tyler Shough last week and plan to start him this week for a limited series or two. The more intriguing headline comes for the Rams, whose QB2 competition between Ty Simpson and Stetson Bennett continues.
| Saints vs. Rams | Saints | Rams |
|---|---|---|
| Moneyline: | 59% | 44% |
| Spread: | -3 (53%) | +3 (55%) |
| Total: | Over 37 (54%) | Under 37 (51%) |
In Week 1 of the preseason, rookie Ty Simpson got the majority of the work, going for an efficient 21/25 passing, 190 yards, and two touchdowns. Bennett saw limited action on just 4/6 passing for 38 yards. He’ll have his chance to show what he could do in this one.
How does ProphetX work?
ProphetX operates as a prediction market, not a sportsbook, and offers event contracts with trading prices and percentages to show the value on different game lines. Put simply, the team with the higher trading price is the favorite. Depending on your trade, all winning markets settle at $1 while losing ones settle at $0. Your profit is the margin between the trading price and $1.
Using the Saints vs. Rams line as an example, the Saints are favored at 59% while the Rams have 44%. Trading on the Saints to win would profit $.41 per share, while the Rams net $.56 per share.
