Susie Wiles Denies White House Exit Plan Rumor

White House chief of staff Susie Wiles pushed back hard against a Daily Mail report claiming she was “drained” and considering stepping down, saying she is “not going anywhere” and calling the story “Friday fiction.”

Susie Wiles didn’t just deny the rumor—she went straight after the story itself.

The White House chief of staff said she is “not going anywhere,” after a Daily Mail report claimed she was “drained” and considering stepping down from her role. The report cited multiple unnamed sources.

Wiles responded on X, writing, “After an accomplishment filled week by President Trump, I have the pleasure of reading a piece of Friday fiction, courtesy of the Daily Mail.”

To make her position unmistakable, she added: “To be crystal clear, I am not going anywhere.”

Wiles’ message comes after Trump announced in March that she had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer, and that she would continue working while undergoing treatment. In her post, Wiles said she is “fully committed” to her role.

“I am honored and proud to serve President Trump, proud of our team and remain fully committed to advancing his agenda on behalf of the American people,” she wrote.

She also criticized what she described as media efforts to stir controversy, saying she took aim at “some in the media” who she accused of spending “a decade trying to manufacture drama around President Trump and people who work for him.”

“They were wrong then, and they are wrong now,” Wiles said.

The timing of her denial underscored the stakes of the allegation: the idea that she might step away from day-to-day leadership in the Trump White House—whether framed as fatigue or health—collides directly with her insistence that she remains in the job and moving forward.

  1. So she’s “drained” but also “early-stage breast cancer”?? Sounds like they’re trying to sell clicks. If she’s sick, I hope she’s getting treatment either way.

  2. I don’t buy it, like why would she even deny unless there’s something to it. Also Elon owns X so of course it’s gonna get pushed back hard right? Idk man, media be weird.

  3. They say “Friday fiction” but the timing after a cancer announcement makes me side-eye. Like even if it’s fake, who starts these rumors and how do they even know anything about her health. Early-stage still sounds like it would drain you, so the whole thing feels messy. Also “not going anywhere” could just mean she won’t resign, not that she’s fine day to day.
