Storm Reid Debuts Single ‘Clean Sweep’ After Teasing

Storm Reid released her debut single “Clean Sweep” on Friday, June 5, through her independent label 1720 Music—produced by Truebeatzz, 88JAY, and 96 Melz.
Storm Reid’s first step into music came with a release date and a quiet kind of momentum: on Friday, June 5, the 22-year-old actress dropped her debut single, “Clean Sweep,” after teasing it for the past couple of weeks.
The track arrives through her independent music label, 1720 Music. It’s produced by Truebeatzz, 88JAY and 96 Melz, giving “Clean Sweep” a collaborative start as she builds a new lane alongside her acting career.
In a statement, Reid framed the moment as more than a launch. “I have always had an affinity for music from an early age. This moment means many things. but the most important thing is that I made an active decision to chase my wildest dreams. ” she said. She added that making the song helped her step away from what she expected other people would want. “The process of making this song allowed me to break from expectations of what I thought people would want from me. I’m excited to continue to concentrate on making the best music I can and having fun doing it.”.
The timing fits with how busy she’s been in entertainment. Earlier in the week, she addressed the Euphoria series finale while clarifying she was not a part of season three. She wrote, “sorry rue I’m busy in the stu,” alongside a clip.
On screen, Reid recently co-starred in the Netflix movie Roommates. Next, she’s slated to star in and executive produce Teyana Taylor’s directorial debut, Get Lite. She also has Hot Year on the horizon, with Kathryn Newton, Dove Cameron and more.
Reid’s debut single doesn’t just mark a new release—it shows her steering her own path, from music choices to the way she publicly sets boundaries around what she’s doing next.

Clean Sweep?? is that like a cleaning product commercial lol
I didn’t even know she was making music, thought it was just acting. Also 1720 Music sounds like a real label or like… a code? Hope it’s good though.
So she’s releasing a song and like stepping away from expectations… but wasn’t she just on Euphoria? Wait the article says she’s not part of season three but she posted “sorry rue I’m busy” so that’s basically confirming she IS in it right?
Storm Reid can do whatever she wants lol. I’m confused though, it says produced by Truebeatzz, 88JAY, and 96 Melz… are those DJs or just random people her team knows? And it says June 5 like Friday, but what year? Anyway I hope Hot Year comes out sooner.
