Steve-O Urges Bam to Own His Mistakes

Steve-O wants – Steve-O tells “The TMZ Podcast” that he loves Bam Margera and is proud of his sobriety journey, but thinks Bam still needs to admit when he’s wrong—especially after Bam skipped the Wednesday premiere of “Jackass: Best and Last.”
Steve-O walked into the conversation with love for Bam Margera—then immediately pivoted to accountability.
On Thursday, Steve-O sat down with “The TMZ Podcast” to talk through how he feels about Bam’s sobriety journey and what he wants Bam to say now that he’s healthy. The message wasn’t about dunking on old headlines. It was about what Bam hasn’t fully faced head-on.
Steve-O also pointed to the moment that raised eyebrows for fans: Bam skipped Wednesday night’s premiere of “Jackass: Best and Last.” Bam’s absence came with two explanations in the conversation—another commitment on the schedule. and the fact that he still wasn’t ready to face Johnny Knoxville and director Jeff Tremaine after getting fired in 2020.
Steve-O made it clear he isn’t holding the past as a grudge for the sake of it. “I LOVE YA, BUT YA GOTTA ADMIT WHEN YOU’RE WRONG,” he emphasized during the exchange, reflecting a belief that Bam’s recovery should come with a fuller reckoning.
Even with Bam missing, Steve-O said he was happy to see Bam’s parents—Phil and April—show up in his place for the premiere.
And as the final chapter of the franchise nears, Steve-O couldn’t resist teasing what’s coming in the movie. He teased a never-before-seen stunt from “Jackass: Best and Last,” describing it as jaw-on-the-floor even by “Jackass” standards.
Later, Steve-O also crashed “TMZ Live” to talk with Harvey and Charles about some of the up and downs he’s been through, with the reminder that viewers would have to check the clips to catch exactly what Steve-O had to say.
