He laid out the story on “The TMZ Podcast. ” describing how he was determined to get the perfect mid-air kiss on camera with his girlfriend. In his telling, the couple couldn’t get enough separation to deploy their parachutes safely. Instead of the planned precision. they had to deal with the problem that comes when altitude runs out faster than the risk assessment.
As he relived the ordeal, Steve-O said he couldn’t get stable for the picture. With his girlfriend locked close to him, they were “burning through altitude fast.” Then came the part he still doesn’t treat casually: they eventually got the shot—but “way later than they should have.”
