By the time summer is fully underway, Spirit Halloween is already turning its attention to the next wave of shoppers—and the workers it will need to staff the season.

The hiring push comes with pay and perks the company is putting front and center. Spirit Halloween’s news release describes “highly competitive pay,” retention bonuses, and a 30% employee discount on costumes, accessories, animatronics and decor.
The company also plans to open more stores than it ever has before. Spirit Halloween is targeting 1,575 stores this year, compared with 1,546 stores in 2025 and 1,535 stores in 2024.
Applicants can start now. Spirit Halloween plans to begin hiring in June, with new workers attending the Spirit Halloween kickoff meeting in about two weeks. The chain’s flagship store in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey is set to open Aug. 1, Tesoro said.
Age requirements are spelled out in the company’s release. Spirit Halloween sales associate applicants must be at least 16 years old, while managers must be at least 21 years old.
Applications were also launched just a week after Spirit Halloween introduced its Summerween Terrifier collection. As of June 11. most of the collection was already sold out. including an “Art the Clown” ice cream cone-shaped pool inflatable. a “Terrifier” beach towel. and accessories such as a tote bag and bucket hat.
On the job path, Spirit Halloween directs applicants to work4spirit.com to find openings and to filter by location and position, including options for new or returning applicants. The company also says applicants may text “REAPER” to 85000 to learn more about available jobs.
