Spencer Pratt didn’t just let Hannah Einbinder’s jab land quietly.
On Friday. May 29. Einbinder—31 and attending the 2026 Critics Choice Association’s Celebration of LGBTQ+ Cinema & Television—talked about why she believes voters should resist Pratt’s bid for mayor. Speaking about Los Angeles politics. she said she thinks there’s a lot of wealth in the city and that some people “masquerade as Democrats or people on the left. ” even as “money is their key issue.” She added that this is what she believes has led people to vote for Pratt. pointing directly to his support from Donald Trump.
“It’s important to resist that,” Einbinder said.
She also framed the choice facing voters as messy, stressing that “no one is perfect” and acknowledging her own emotional overwhelm. “I’m overwhelmed in a lot of ways but I have made the choice to put Nithya [Raman] down, and that’s what we’re doing girls!” Einbinder added.
Pratt’s response came the same day. after he reposted a Variety video interview on Twitter/X and reacted to what Einbinder said about him. In his post. he accused her of making the remarks from a position of comfort—describing the setting as a “literal red carpet. ” surrounded by armed security. “completely insulated from the horrors on our streets that Angelenos and their kids have to suffer through every day.”.
He wrote, “I’m glad she doesn’t have to suffer the consequences of Karen and Nithya’s failures, but she’s in an elite minority and the rest of us want change.”
Pratt is currently in the running for the new mayor of Los Angeles in California. His top opponents are current mayor Karen Bass and councilwoman Nithya Raman.
Einbinder is among a group of celebrities opposing Pratt’s campaign. Still, Pratt has backing from other famous faces as the race moves forward—while his feud with the Hacks actress keeps turning up in public, in real time, with each new interview and reply.

I mean Hannah’s not wrong about money talking in LA but Spencer acting like the red carpet means he’s some kind of victim is hilarious. Also why are celebrities always the loudest about politics lol.

This is what I don’t get… people say “Trump-endorsed” like that’s instantly proof the guy can’t do anything. But then Spencer’s like omg she’s insulated while she’s at Critics Choice so obviously she’s the problem?
