Pochettino expected to stay with USMNT through 2030 World Cup

Son Heung-Min shined bright in his first MLS All-Star Game.
The LAFC striker made a splash by scoring twice in three minutes of the first half of the match against the Liga MX All-Stars on Wednesday, July 29 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
The first goal was an equalizer that came in the 20th minute. Carles Gil kicked the ball from the middle of the field and it bounced to the left where Heung-Min received it. South Korea’s all-time leading scorer stutter-stepped after the touch and then tapped the ball to send it bouncing into the back of the net. Heung-Min flashed his bright smile and put his fingers together in his signature photo frame celebration.
The second goal was again off an assist from Gil and put the MLS up 2-1. The New England Revolution midfielder tossed the ball over from the right of the net. Heung-Min received it and delivered an artful strike with his right foot to drill the ball into the net. He gave a high five to Hany Mukhtar and then pointed to Gil and embraced him in a hug.
“These are amazing players and I didn’t have to do much,” Heung-Min said on the Apple TV broadcast after he was taken out of the match. “… It was pure joy.”
The former Tottenham standout’s night ended in the 34th minute after the hydration break when MLS coach Dean Smith made a handful of changes.
Heung-Min and South Korea failed to advance past the group stage of this summer’s World Cup. But he has three goals in LAFC’s three matches since the return of the MLS season.
