Skeletal remains found in Burlington home after purchase

Connecticut State Police are investigating after a new homebuyer found the skeletal remains of three people inside a foreclosed house in Burlington, Connecticut—though investigators say there’s no indication of foul play and no public danger.

Just before 5 p.m. on Sunday, a new homebuyer called for help in Burlington, Connecticut—reporting the discovery of human remains inside a house purchased at a foreclosure auction “as is.”

Connecticut State Police say officers responded to 7 Stanwich Lane after the buyer found the skeletal remains of three people inside the foreclosed home.

Police have not yet confirmed the identities of the three bodies. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has not determined a cause of death. In the meantime, the state police release said there is no indication of foul play or anything else suspicious.

Investigators also stressed that the discovery appears to be an isolated incident. Police said there is currently no danger to the public, and State Police detectives are working the case.
