Six Flags Adirondack Outlaw Stuck Mid-Ride for 30 Minutes

People riding the Adirondack Outlaw attraction at Six Flags Great Escape in Queensbury, New York were reportedly stuck in the air for at least half an hour after the ride tilted mid-ride and then froze.

For at least half an hour, the Adirondack Outlaw ride wouldn’t let go.

A witness says they were at Six Flags Great Escape in Queensbury. New York on Friday when the Adirondack Outlaw attraction got stuck on its side with people still on it. In video shared from the scene. bystanders can be heard describing how long they believed they were up there. while mechanics worked at the top of the ride to get things fixed.

The ride’s design played an immediate role in how the situation unfolded. To get one group of riders off, the other group needed to stay suspended straight up at the top.

It’s the second time something like this has happened at a Six Flags park in recent weeks. As previously reported, the SkyScreamer ride at Six Flags Over Georgia got stuck on June 14, leaving riders dangling over 260 feet in the air.

With Friday’s incident, the theme is the same for riders and witnesses watching from below: a ride mid-journey turning into a waiting game, and an anxious pause as crews work from the highest point to bring everyone down.
