After having her love life exposed to the public for over a decade on “Sister Wives,” Janelle Brown has “quietly” dated. And now, she is opening up about her “pretty wonderful” relationship.
The 57-year-old reality TV star took to Instagram on Aug. 18 to go public with her new boyfriend, Pete.
“Some chapters are meant to unfold quietly before they’re shared. I wasn’t looking. I certainly wasn’t expecting you. And somehow, you turned out to be exactly what I didn’t know I needed,” she captioned a selfie with her beau. “And it has been pretty wonderful. Everyone please meet Pete.”
This is the first time Brown has gone public with a romantic partner since she and Kody Brown announced the end of their nearly three-decade “spiritual marriage” in December 2022, when the Season 17 finale revealed the bombshell in a sneak peek of the multi-part “Sister Wives: One on One” special.
More than a year before going public with her new romance, Janelle Brown indicated she was “not really interested in getting married again or even really dating at this stage” on the Feb. 16, 2025, episode of the “Sibling Revelry with Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson” podcast.
However, she didn’t close the door on a future romance.
“I’m not even thinking about, like, ‘Oh, what do I need to do?’ Because I’m just like, I am over [it]. I am done. I love my single life,” she continued. “If something presents itself in the future, then I’ll consider what I need to do in the future.”
Janelle Brown and Kody Brown share five children aged 21 to 32: Savannah, Gabriel, Hunter, Madison and Logan. Her and Kody Brown’s son, Garrison Brown, died by suicide at age 25 in 2024.
