Shebe Maburna case postponed to July for pre-trial

The case of against Lekompo musician, Lehlogonolo Chauke commonly known as Shebe Maburna has been postponed to 10 July for pre-trial at the Polokwane Regional Court in Limpopo. He has been charged with 20 counts, including three of attempted murder. In one of the charges, he is accused of shooting and wounding a fan in Ladanna in Polokwane last year. Maburna’s lawyer, Michael Khumalo told the Polokwane Regional Court that he still needs to appoint and allocate an advocate who will be dealing with his
client’s trial. Khumalo says he will only guide the advocate on the trial as he has other matters to attend. The case has been postponed to 10 July for preparation of trial. Maburna has failed to get bail on three previous occasions. Khumalo says he is confident that his client will get bail at the Polokwane High Court before the trial starts at the regional court.
