Sheamus trains at WWE Performance Center after surgery

Sheamus trains – Almost six months after being ruled out of John Cena’s Last Time Is Now tournament with a shoulder injury, Sheamus has resurfaced at the WWE Performance Center—sharing training images and posting about his surgery and ongoing rehab.
For months, Sheamus has been careful with what he gives away. Now, the message is a little harder to ignore.
After being sidelined for a shoulder injury. “The Celtic” Warrior has been spotted working out at the WWE Performance Center. circulating a carousel of training photos on social media captioned “A fun day.” The images show him training and working in the ring alongside WWE NXT wrestlers Myles Borne. Hank Walker. and Tank Ledger—and an aftermath picture from the session that features brutal welts on his back.
This is the latest spark in what has already become a familiar ritual for Sheamus fans: teasing, then training, then teasing again. WWE WrestleMania season is now over, and Sheamus has continued to fuel return speculation with consistent social media activity.
His last in-ring bout came on an episode of Monday Night RAW in 2025. That match was a six-man tag-team bout in which he teamed with John Cena and Rey Mysterio to defeat the Judgment Day trio of Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, and Finn Bálor.
Sheamus was also scheduled to take part in John Cena’s retirement, Last Time is Now tournament. But he was ruled out after the shoulder injury surfaced, turning what looked like a key moment into a setback.
Time has now moved past the injury. Almost six months have passed since Sheamus was hurt and sidelined. and after getting ruled out of action last year. he underwent surgery in Dec. 2025. He is currently on the road to recovery. though as of now there are no confirmed updates on his in-ring comeback.
Even with the new training videos and photos. the injury timeline is still central to why the questions won’t fully go away. A few weeks ago. while speaking to QTB Football. Sheamus described how the problem reached a point where he couldn’t compensate anymore. He said, “But ultimately, it was just a matter of time before it stopped moving on me. I tried to push through it to the point where I couldn’t move my arms. I had surgery on December 30. Ever since then, I’ve been rehabbing.”.
Taken together, the facts point to the same tension that has followed Sheamus since he was forced out: he’s back around the ring and pushing through training again, but the road back from the shoulder surgery that required a Dec. 30 procedure is still the defining chapter of his return.
Until WWE confirms anything on an in-ring comeback, the only reliable heartbeat right now is what Sheamus is choosing to show—workouts at the Performance Center, a willingness to step back into the grind, and physical evidence that his body is already taking hits again.
