Severe storm threat returns overnight for Lexington area

Severe storm – A First Alert Weather Day is underway for the Lexington, Kentucky area as storms move through overnight and into Monday, bringing a risk of severe weather, damaging winds, and localized flash flooding from heavy rain.
For a second night in a row, the sky over Lexington, Kentucky is the main concern: more storms are expected to roll through, and some could turn severe.
Mostly cloudy skies are expected to hang around through the evening, with scattered showers and thunderstorms arriving after midnight. A few storms may be severe, with damaging winds listed as the main threat. An isolated tornado can’t be ruled out either. Heavy rainfall is also a concern, with the potential to trigger localized flash flooding. Lows are expected to fall between 65 and 70 degrees.
Storms won’t necessarily wait until Monday is in full swing. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue, especially during the morning hours. Conditions should start to settle down some by Monday afternoon, but the threat isn’t over.
Again, a few storms may be severe on Monday, with damaging winds remaining the main risk. Heavy rainfall could also return, bringing another chance of flash flooding. Monday is expected to be cooler, with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Even after that, there are likely to still be a few scattered showers during the evening with decreasing clouds overnight. Overnight lows will be in the upper 50s to low 60s.
The next day looks noticeably calmer. Tuesday should start with partly cloudy skies, with lots of sunshine by afternoon. It’s expected to be a really nice day, with highs between 75 and 80 degrees. Tuesday night will be mostly clear, with lows in the mid to upper 50s.
Wednesday brings another stretch of pleasant weather, with a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the low to mid 80s. Clouds are expected to increase heading into Wednesday night, with lows in the low to mid 60s.
Thursday is expected to be partly cloudy, with highs in the low to mid 80s. Some showers may return Thursday night, and lows are forecast to be in the mid to upper 60s.
Friday will be a more unsettled day at times, with scattered showers on and off throughout the day and highs in the low to mid 80s. Overnight lows will be in the mid to upper 60s.
Looking ahead to the next weekend, the pattern turns wetter again, with more showers and thunderstorms expected. Highs are forecast to be in the low to mid 80s on Saturday and in the mid to upper 80s on Sunday.

First Alert Weather Day Lexington KY severe storm threat damaging winds isolated tornado flash flooding heavy rainfall overnight storms Monday storms
So basically every night now??
I saw this and thought “again??” Like aren’t we done with the storms. Flash flooding from heavy rain seems like it’ll happen no matter what they say. Hopefully my street doesn’t turn into a river.
This says tornado can’t be ruled out but also says it’ll start to settle by Monday afternoon… which one is it? People in Lexington always get the worst of it and then it’s sunny by lunch. I’m just gonna avoid driving Monday morning because last time it was fine until suddenly it wasn’t.
The “First Alert Weather Day” thing is starting to feel like a broken record. Damaging winds and localized flash flooding overnight, then more in the morning… so does that mean Tuesday won’t be calm either? Also the temps confusing me like 65 to 70 lows but then “cooler” Monday, ok sure. I’m off work tomorrow, praying nothing touches down.
