I am undefeated at featherweight. “I’m excited to put on a showcase in front of my El Paso fans, so I’m ready.” Bidarian: Serrano wants to inspire next generation of female boxers MVP chief executive Nikisa Bidarian, speaking to Sky Sports: “I think

her number one goal is to tie and break Christie Martin’s knockout record. If she gets a knockout this weekend, she ties it. Gets one more, she breaks it, most knockouts in history by a female fighter. “It’s about continuing to give back to the sport. When you look at this coming weekend, Amanda approached us around going to El Paso and supporting Stephanie Hahn. “And we said to Amanda, we love the idea, but to be transparent, we can’t afford to pay you what

you’re used to getting paid here. Smaller market, different opportunity. “Amanda didn’t hesitate and said, ‘I’ll take less. I want to do this. This is important for me to show these women what it means to be a team player, what it means to try to push women’s boxing forward.’ “I’m very thankful to her and her team for their willingness to not just look for themselves, but also look for the next generation of fighters and how they can support it.” Watch Amanda Serrano

  1. Not gonna lie, I don’t even know who Cheyenne Hanson is but 9 straight wins sounds scary. Also these women’s boxing promos always act like it’s guaranteed to happen… record or no record.

  2. Wait is this the same Amanda Serrano that got famous for like MMA or something? Cuz I swear I saw a clip where she was fighting in a cage. If she’s really about tying Christie Martin’s record, maybe she should focus on defense not just KO hunting.

  3. El Paso fans getting a showcase is cool, but I’m skeptical cuz Hanson sounds like she’ll walk her down. And “no walkover” like ok… if Serrano’s close to 32, why not just go for the fastest punch possible? Also the Sky Sports app thing sounds like a scam every time I hear it.
