The pair are six-time Wimbledon doubles champions together and haven’t played doubles at the major in three years of silence—since 2016. when they won their sixth doubles title at The Championships.
For Serena, it will also be a long-awaited return to Wimbledon courts. Her first match at Wimbledon since 2022 is scheduled to come in women’s doubles. a discipline where she has already stacked milestones that few players ever touch. Combined. the Williams sisters have won 14 major doubles titles. and Serena remains the only player in tennis history to have earned a career Golden Slam in both singles and doubles.
Her comeback has already started elsewhere. Williams recently made her competitive return at the HSBC Championship in London, partnering with Victoria Mboko. Their run ended early when Mboko was forced to retire due to injury.

I saw Serena’s name and immediately thought she was done with tennis again lol. But Venus too? That’s like bringing back old internet memes in real life.
