Second trailer revs up Motor City’s revenge July 24

A new trailer for “Motor City” keeps the focus on payback in 1970s Detroit, where Alan Ritchson’s character is framed, a drug kingpin and crooked cop close in, and the violence is punctuated by rock classics curated by Jack White. The film arrives July 24.
A speeding car. An elevator fight that looks like it could shake the building. And a tagline—”Revenge speaks louder than words”—that matches the momentum of the new second trailer for “Motor City.”
The revenge action thriller is set to open on July 24, pushing a story rooted in 1970s Detroit. At the center is a character played by “Reacher” star Alan Ritchson. who is out to settle old scores after he is framed by a drug kingpin played by Ben Foster and a crooked cop played by Pablo Schreiber. The pressure isn’t just legal or physical: the framing and the pursuit are also aimed at destroying Ritchson’s relationship with his fiancée. played by Shailene Woodley.
The film already has a reputation for having only a handful of audible lines of dialogue. and the new trailer leans into the kind of storytelling that fills space with action instead of speeches. The scenes on display include what the trailer teases as a brutally fierce fight in an elevator and a slugfest in a speeding car.
Music also plays a visible role in the build. The score is peppered with rock classics. including Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain.” Jack White—Detroit’s alt-rock icon—curated the music. according to the Toronto International Film Festival. TIFF’s description of “Motor City” calls it “a cinematic symphony of muscle cars, gunfire, and heartbreak.”.
The poster goes even harder on the promise of impact. It features Alan Ritchson filling most of the space as his right hand holds a firearm that shoots flames from its barrel. while his right foot kicks into the film’s title with 3D force. To the right of his torso, tiny copy reads: “Love will drive you mad.”.
All of it funnels toward a final stretch that has already drawn attention for going over the top in mayhem and violence—setting up the question viewers will likely carry into theaters: how far can “Motor City” go before the revenge becomes the point?

So it’s just constant yelling with no dialogue? cool i guess.
The tagline “Revenge speaks louder than words” sounds like it’s gonna be all action and no plot. Also Alan Ritchson always looks like he’s about to punch somebody in the face lol.
Wait so Ben Foster is the drug kingpin AND somehow the fiancée is involved? I didn’t catch that part. Elevator fight and a speeding car already sounds like every Detroit movie ever, but if Jack White really curated the music then I’m listening for Fleetwood Mac.
“Only a handful of audible lines of dialogue”?? That’s kinda sad actually. Like are they just grunting through the whole movie. And the poster says “Love will drive you mad” but the title is Motor City so I’m assuming it’s mostly about cars crashing not revenge. Yet it’s literally revenge thriller so idk.
