Thursday night’s games added more movement to the ledger. In the American League, New York beat Cleveland 2-1, Baltimore defeated Boston 8-2, Toronto topped Atlanta 7-2, and Chicago edged Athletics 7-6. Kansas City took Minnesota 8-6. Pittsburgh beat Houston 5-1.
