Samsung’s Fold 8 may get a carbon kickstand case

Trademark filings suggest Samsung could bring back its “Carbon Standing Case” accessory for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and potentially the Z Fold 8 Ultra, with a carbon-fiber look and a kickstand—possibly launching in July alongside the phones.
By the time Samsung’s next wave of foldables lands, you may not just need a new phone—you’ll want the right stand for it.
New trademark filings point to an accessory called the “Carbon Standing Case” tied to Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 devices. The accessory already exists for another recent foldable: it launched for the Galaxy Z Trifold months ago.
Samsung has filed trademarks for the Carbon Standing Case in countries where the Galaxy Z Trifold wasn’t officially released. That mismatch matters. It strongly suggests Samsung is preparing to roll the accessory out more widely, potentially as part of its lineup for upcoming foldable phones.
The expectation is that a Carbon Standing Case for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 would borrow its design language from the case made for the Galaxy Z Trifold. If that holds true, the case is expected to feature a carbon-fiber design—exactly what the name promises—and a kickstand built into the back.
Pricing isn’t confirmed yet, but there’s a reference point. The Carbon Standing Case for the Galaxy Z Trifold is priced at $99.99 in the US. A similar case for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra could land around that same number.
The timing being floated is July. The Carbon Standing Case could launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra, with more details on pricing expected when that launch date approaches.
For now, the only thing that’s solid is the direction of travel: Samsung is signaling—through trademark paperwork—that a carbon-fiber, kickstand-equipped case built for the Z Trifold may soon be headed for its next Fold generation, too.

If it has a kickstand does that mean it finally stops falling over??
July for a case… so basically the phone is coming too, right? $99.99 sounds like Samsung math where it’s always “not too bad” until you buy it.
Wait they already have this “Carbon Standing Case” for the Trifold but it wasn’t released everywhere so they just filed trademarks? That feels like they’re trying to sell something they don’t even have yet lol. Also carbon fiber look on a case is probably just stickers.
I don’t get why everyone cares about carbon fiber unless it’s like, way stronger. If the Fold 8 Ultra comes with a case that has a kickstand I guess it helps for Netflix but then you add bulk… and Samsung always charges extra for bulk. Trademark filings in random countries doesn’t mean it’ll actually drop in July, but I’m sure it will anyway right?
