Samsung Android – Samsung is expanding its stable One UI 9 rollout to include US carrier-locked and unlocked versions of the Galaxy S25 series, Z Fold 7, and Z Flip 7.
For weeks. owners of Samsung’s flagship 2025 devices in the United States have watched the steady arrival of software updates in South Korea from afar. That wait is finally coming to an end. Samsung has begun pushing the stable One UI 9 update—built on Android 17—to the Galaxy S25 series. the Galaxy Z Fold 7. and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 across the American market.
Following an initial push that favored a limited number of carrier-specific variants, the update is now hitting both carrier-locked and unlocked models. The reach of this rollout varies, with specific availability dictated by individual carrier networks and device configurations.
For the S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, the firmware arrives with version numbers ending in DZIF. The transition is significant in scale: for those moving from One UI 8.5. the Galaxy S25 Ultra package clocks in at roughly 3.9GB. while the S25 Plus update sits at about 3.8GB. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is receiving version F966USQUCCZIH, and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is getting F766USQUCCZIH.
Distribution patterns confirm the fragmented nature of the release. The Flip 7 update has been verified on AT&T, while the Fold 7 has reached users on both T-Mobile and Verizon. Samsung’s official support pages now host the Android 17 builds for these foldables as well as multiple variants of the S25 series.
This release brings a suite of changes to the user experience. One UI 9 introduces a more customizable Quick Panel, new privacy and security alerts, and improvements to Samsung Health and DeX. Users are also gaining “Now nudge” suggestions and the “My FanCam” feature. For those with foldables. the software adds specific multitasking controls for the Fold 7 and dedicated cover screen enhancements for the Flip 7.
With the US market now integrated into the deployment, the release appears to be entering its wider international phase. As the staged rollout continues, owners can check for the update by navigating to Settings, selecting Software update, and tapping Download and install.
