Rosie O’Donnell posts facelift before-and-after photos

Rosie O’Donnell is sharing before-and-after facelift photos on Instagram, just days after writing a candid Substack essay explaining why she changed her mind about never getting one.
Rosie O’Donnell didn’t just post a glow-up—she posted the whole journey.
On Instagram on Wednesday. the former The View co-host shared what she called “THE B4 & AFTER. ” offering super candid snapshots of her face with no filter. The images show the before-and-after result of her facelift. presented directly to followers in the same straightforward way she has been describing her decision.
It’s a swift follow-up to a Substack post she shared just one day earlier. In that essay. the 64-year-old looked back on how strongly she used to feel about facelifts—“Not casually–morally”—saying she had “assigned” herself as the head of all women who would never—“ever”—get one. She also framed it as more than an aesthetic choice, describing facelifts as “a betrayal / Of feminism. Of aging. / Of our team of women worldwide.”.
Then the circumstances shifted. She wrote that she lost 50 pounds, and that what she saw wasn’t wrinkles anymore—it was gravity. In her words, “It wasn’t wrinkles–it was gravity,” adding that when she looked in the mirror she would think, “this isn’t aging, this is… melting with intention.”
After doing “a lot of research” and having “hard conversations” with herself and her child, she ultimately decided the surgery was the best thing for her. She said she doesn’t regret it at all, pointing readers to her essay for the full account.
With the new Instagram photos. the timeline becomes impossible to miss: first the detailed admission on Substack. then the filter-free “b4” and “after” images on Wednesday—an update that lands with extra weight because she’s not presenting the change as something she always wanted. but something she arrived at after wrestling with what it meant.
