Now. with Rodgers back. the organization will eventually have to decide what happens to one of the other three—either through trade or release.
Rudolph might look like the obvious candidate. but the Steelers would still need a veteran backup with playing experience in case Rodgers is injured.. That reality narrows the decision to Will Howard or Drew Allar.. And the temptation to move on from Allar is muted by what the Steelers already spent: they used a second-day pick on him last month.
That leaves Howard as the most likely quarterback to be moved.. Howard was a sixth-round pick in 2025. and the reporting around the team’s quarterback room suggests new coach Mike McCarthy “supposedly” loves him..
