Robinson Questionable as Pistons Face Cavs Elimination

Duncan Robinson is once again listed as questionable for the Pistons’ Game 6 against the Cavaliers, as Detroit looks to avoid elimination Friday at Little Caesars Arena.

Detroit’s season hangs by a thread, and the first sign of what Friday night might cost came in the Pistons’ latest injury report—headlined by Duncan Robinson.

Robinson is listed as questionable with low back soreness for Game 6 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on Prime Video at Little Caesars Arena, with Detroit trying to force a deciding Game 7 after a tense Game 5 that went to overtime.

Alongside Robinson, the Pistons listed Kevin Huerter as questionable with a left adductor strain and Caris LeVert as questionable with a right heel contusion.

All three were on Detroit’s injury report before Wednesday’s 117-113 overtime loss in Game 5. Robinson was the only one who didn’t play.

Huerter appeared in that matchup but was limited, playing three minutes while recording one assist and not taking a shot.

LeVert’s role off the bench looked much bigger. Across 24 minutes, he finished with seven points, one rebound, one assist, one steal and one block, shooting 2-for-7 from the field. He also went 3-for-3 from the free-throw line.

Robinson’s status matters for more than just rotation planning. The 32-year-old last played for Detroit in its 112-103 Game 4 loss, where he posted four points, one rebound and one assist in 29 minutes. He went 1-for-2 from three-point range and made one free throw.

Even with him missing Game 5, Robinson has stayed one of Detroit’s more productive offensive pieces in the second-round series.. In the four games he has played against Cleveland. he’s averaging 13.8 points. 2.5 assists. 2.5 steals and 1.8 rebounds per game. shooting 54.3% from the field and 57.7% from three-point range in 32.5 minutes per contest.

Detroit is trying to keep its season alive again in an elimination scenario.. The Pistons already fought their way back from a 3-1 deficit against the Orlando Magic in the opening round. and a win on Friday would send the series to a decisive Game 7 on Sunday at Little Caesars Arena. also airing on Prime Video.
