Rick Ross Performs Drake Tracks at Tour Kickoff, Rejects Reconciliation

Rick Ross kicked off his 17-city “Port of Miami” anniversary tour in Miami with collaborations that include Drake tracks. After the show, he said he doesn’t edit out Drake’s parts—then laughed when asked whether he’d ever reconcile.

When Rick Ross hit the stage in Miami on Thursday night, the mood was pure nostalgia—an anniversary celebration built around the songs that helped define his era.

Ross launched his new 17-city “Port of Miami” anniversary tour at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, marking 20 years since the release of his debut album. The night moved fast, with hit after hit, and the setlist didn’t shy away from one of the most talked-about names in his recent musical orbit.

Even as Ross and Drake’s relationship has been rocky, Ross ran through major collaborations together during the opening night. Fans expecting tension between them got something else: music first, the history of their collaborations on full display.

After the concert, Ross was asked whether he’d ever considered cutting Drake’s parts out of the songs given their public fallout. His answer was simple. Ross said he just goes with whatever the DJ plays during the set and doesn’t spend time editing or removing parts from the records.

But performing Drake’s verses and reconciling with Drake are apparently two very different things. When asked if he’d ever consider squashing the beef and getting back on good terms with the Toronto rapper. Ross responded with a burst of laughter—making it clear that reconciliation isn’t something he’s focused on right now.

The question lands hard because Ross and Drake were once frequent collaborators, teaming up on a string of major records over the years before their relationship unraveled amid the rap world’s ongoing feuds.

So while Ross is still willing to play the songs that carry that shared spotlight, the moment doesn’t read like a truce. The music stays in rotation; the friendship, for now, doesn’t.

  1. I feel like Rick Ross is lowkey trolling Drake like “I’ll play it but not forgive you.” Also why is everyone acting like editing tracks is even a real thing? It’s the same song either way, right?

  2. Wait so he won’t reconcile but he’s performing the Drake songs… that’s kinda wild. I heard Drake was mad Ross stole his style or something and now I guess Ross just don’t care. Like if it’s beef, why play the beef songs at all? Unless the DJ is like legally required or whatever.

  3. Port of Miami anniversary tour sounds cool but the whole Drake part is confusing. Isn’t “cutting Drake’s parts” just changing the audio file? Seems simple… unless the tour contract says he has to keep them in? Also Ross laughing like that makes me think they’re not even in the same universe anymore. People keep saying it’s reconciliation time but clearly it’s not.
