Ric Flair health update erupts amid feud with David

Ric Flair, 77, says he’s battling health issues while a bitter family dispute with his son David Fliehr spills onto social media, including trademark warnings, a demand to “stand on your own two feet,” and a reference to past medical crises.

Ric Flair’s account opened with a hospital picture and a blunt message: he’s dealing with health problems that, he says, people would understand if they truly knew what he’s going through.

The 77-year-old WWE icon posted the photo on Saturday and followed it with a warning about why his patience has run thin. “If you understood the health issues that I deal with and am currently dealing with. you would understand why I get frustrated in life with a lot of people. ” Flair wrote. “I’m sorry for the frustration. I am taking time to focus on my health.”.

Minutes later, Flair uploaded a screenshot he said showed his health data, including an elevated heart rate.

This latest flare-up comes from a family dispute that has turned increasingly public. Flair vented “frustration” with his son David Fliehr, 47, in a series of social media posts that have since been deleted. In them. the “Nature Boy” claimed there is “someone that I’m very familiar with” using “my own trademark. FLAIR.” He warned that person is “well represented by a reputable $1. 000 per-hour attorney” who “makes a living suing people that abuse my trademark.”.

At first, Flair didn’t name his son, but he pointed to the person he meant. He said he wanted the issue resolved by Monday and added: “You know who I am talking about.” Fightful later reported that Flair confirmed he was referring to David Fliehr.

Flair then posted a follow-up insisting he would not sue his son. Still. he delivered his message through a sharper kind of pressure. writing that he was “just reminding him that you can’t have the best of both worlds. ” before telling David: “You’re 47 years old… now stand on your own two feet please.”.

Flair’s remarks also included personal grievances about the stability of their relationship. He suggested his connection with David has been broken for nearly a decade. In the same stream. he urged David to use his “god given name. Fliehr. which isn’t worth a cup of coffee.” He also ordered David—who was briefly a wrestler—to stop selling “robes that I let you use during your career as you have already sold one.”.

The feud reached a family-management accusation, too. Flair wrote: “I’m sorry and sad that it has come to this. I’ve tried my best to fix things over the years, only to be rejected because your wife runs your life.”

David Fliehr’s LinkedIn profile states he is part of the management team at Green Flair Recycling.

The health angle has been present in Flair’s public life before. Back in 2017, he flirted with death after suffering multiple organ failure, then being put on life support and placed in a medically-induced coma.

In the space between trademark tensions and hospital updates. the thread running through Flair’s posts is simple: he wants the dispute handled. and he wants his son to step away from anything that draws on his legacy—while also asking for understanding about his own body after years of serious medical scares.

  1. Wait so he’s in the hospital but also doing trademark threats?? Like can’t someone call his son and handle it privately? Sounds like a lot.

  2. I saw the heart rate screenshot thing. Elevated heart rate could be from stress, so yeah it’s probably the family stuff. But also “well represented” like he’s fighting the wrong person? idk

  3. Honestly I think the trademark thing is just a distraction. If he already had medical crises before then he should be focusing on doctors not posting about $1,000 per hour attorneys. Also why is it always David with him? I’m confused but I’m also kinda taking Flair’s side just because he’s Flair.
