“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum Peter Thomas is preparing to get back in front of the cameras—months after leaving prison.
Set for a new reality TV return, Thomas is expected to begin filming a fresh project following his release from prison in February, court documents obtained ahead of the update show.
In those new filings, Thomas asked the judge handling his criminal case about unpaid employment taxes and explained he had been approached about a new reality show centered on rebuilding his life since his prison release.
Thomas also told the court he is well known from his “RHOA” days, with a large social media following and experience as a public speaker. He said he has used his platform to emphasize the importance of paying taxes.
The filing comes after Thomas—who was married to “RHOA” star Cynthia Bailey—was sentenced to 18 months in prison following his guilty plea related to taxes.
He had been accused of failing to pay employment taxes tied to restaurants he owned. In his court submission, Thomas said he is currently employed with a restaurant-related company and that he needs to travel in order to attend a restaurant opening.
Thomas requested permission to travel for his job, and the judge signed off on that request.
The sequence of his court filing and his plans to return to reality TV are now shaping the next chapter: he is asking for time to meet work obligations while also laying out a new public-facing narrative built around life after incarceration.
