Real Madrid, Man United target signings in busy summer

When the calendar flips toward another busy summer window, the first thing fans start doing is refreshing their feeds. This time. it’s a scatter of names with big clubs circling—each rumour carrying its own pressure. its own urgency. and its own sense that a single deal could shift an entire team’s season.

Real Madrid are expected to move for Portugal midfielder Bernardo Silva, 31. The expectation is that the deal would be completed as Jose Mourinho prepares for his second spell at the club, with Silva’s contract at Manchester City set to expire later this month.

Bayern Munich are working from a different angle, but with the same aim: securing Marcus Rashford. The forward is 28, and Bayern believe they can land him after positive talks with his representatives.

Back in Manchester, the focus is also on a Portuguese connection. Manchester United are increasingly confident about signing Mateus Fernandes, 21, the Portugal and West Ham midfielder. The confidence follows Manchester United fending off interest from Arsenal.

At Newcastle, the goalkeeping picture is drawing attention again. Newcastle have rekindled their interest in signing Manchester City and England goalkeeper James Trafford, 23, as work continues to bolster the club’s goalkeeping unit.

Arsenal’s summer planning doesn’t stop at Fernandes and other midfield targets. The club is weighing up a move for Real Sociedad and Spain winger Ander Barrenetxea. He has also been watched by Tottenham, adding another layer of competition to an already crowded market.

Elsewhere, Liverpool and Leeds are both interested in Midtjylland and South Korea central defender Lee Han-beom, 23, with Napoli, Monaco and Lyon among a number of other clubs keeping tabs on him.

Brighton & Hove Albion have made a £30m offer for Croatia defender Luka Vuskovic, 19, from Tottenham, with the valuation signalling a clear attempt to move quickly if the deal is possible.

Arsenal’s attention is also reported to have an opening further forward: Besiktas have entered advanced talks with Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard, 31, over a £20m transfer.

Galatasaray, meanwhile, are interested in signing Aston Villa’s Emiliano Buendia, 29. The report also says Unai Emery’s side could replace him with West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville, 24.

Barcelona are considering a change in their goalkeeping plans too. The club will look to offload out of favour goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, 34, to Ajax.

Between negotiations and belief—between clubs feeling close and others still feeling their way—the window’s story is the same across continents: pressure on decision-makers. momentum for teams trying to rebuild. and uncertainty for players caught in the swing of bigger forces. For now, it’s a series of market moves being tested in real time, with each update tightening the race.

  1. So they’re buying Bernardo Silva with Mourinho coming back? Good luck, City gonna just let that happen I guess.

  2. I read that Rashford thing like 3 different places already. Bayern “feel good” every summer… then nothing happens and he’s still there. Also who is Mateus Fernandes? sounds like a made up name lol.

  3. Mourinho second spell?? That’s wild. Doesn’t Real Madrid already have like 400 midfielders though, so why Silva? And why does it say City contract expires “later this month” like it’s some timer on a video game.

  4. Newcastle going after James Trafford again feels like deja vu. Goalkeepers are always the same saga every transfer window, like they’re never satisfied. Meanwhile Arsenal also watching another winger… Tottenham too? At some point these teams gotta stop scouting and just play the guys they have.
