The NFL preseason has claimed another.
In what has been a particularly brutal year for injuries during training camp, Thursday night’s game between the Las Vegas Raiders and Houston Texans saw yet another.
Chigozie Anusiem, a second-year cornerback out of Colorado State, was down on the field after a play in the third quarter. It was an injury that brought both teams out onto the field as the cart rolled out. Anusiem just finished playing his second snap of the game.
Reports from the game indicate that Anusiem had his leg placed in an air cast.
The ESPN broadcast did not show the nature of the injury.
Play-by-play announcer Joe Buck revealed that it was a lower body issue for Anusiem, who was dragged down from behind.
