Quality Control Music’s Pierre ‘P’ Thomas hospitalized

Quality Control Music co-founder Pierre “P” Thomas is hospitalized and “currently receiving medical care,” the record label confirmed Aug. 21, responding to reports he had suffered a critical health episode.
“We want to clarify that Pierre “P” Thomas is alive and currently hospitalized receiving medical care,” the label said in a post on Instagram, asking everyone to “keep P and his family in their thoughts and prayers and respectfully give them the privacy and space they need during this time.”
“We deeply appreciate everyone’s concern, support, prayers, and loving energy right now,” the post continues.
Though the label’s statement did not mention why Thomas was hospitalized, TMZ reported the 45-year-old music executive suffered a heart attack and is in the ICU at a hospital in Las Vegas.
Who is Pierre “P” Thomas?
Thomas co-founded Quality Control Music with Kevin “Coach K” Lee in 2013, according to the label’s website.
Based in Atlanta, the label is “known to find and develop smaller artists, which is the reason why many Quality Control artists seem to come out of nowhere.” The Migos, Lil Baby and City Girls are among the artists the label has nurtured, according to its website.
Quality Control also has a sports division, which includes names like New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara and Chicago Bears running back D’Andre Swift.
