Priscilla Presley may not step out often. But when she does, she knows how to make a statement.
On Thursday, July 30, the 81-year-old star let her radiant red locks serve as inspiration for her “Lady in Red” look as she stepped out for a luxurious evening at the Remus Lifestyle Night event in Mallorca, Spain.
For the rare appearance, Presley donned a long-sleeved scarlet maxi dress with a center-draped waist, which she paired with a matching leather crossbody bag. The star topped off the ensemble with a complementary beauty look, including her silky straight red tresses cascading down her shoulders, bright blush and a bold red lip.
Red seemed to be the color of the night as Presley posed with other famous faces such as Mischa Barton and Monica Cruz, who also sported bright red looks. The grandmother of Riley Keough also stopped for photos with luxury real estate organizer and the event’s host, Marcel Remus.
The recent appearance marks the first time Presley has stepped out in public since a spring visit to Denmark. In March, Presley was a special guest at the country’s Memphis Mansion, a dedicated Elvis museum where she gave a series of lectures. At the time, she posed for photos at the museum event in a sophisticated white suit.
Last fall, Presley spent time promoting her memoir, “Softly, As I Leave You: Life after Elvis.” In September, the star made a series of book appearances, including a talk at New York City’s 92NY and an interview on “The Late Show.”
In the memoir, Presley picks up where her 1985 book “Elvis and Me” left off, as she tackles everything from the addiction struggles of her son Navarone Garcia to the death of daughter Lisa Marie and suicide of grandson Benjamin Keough.
Reflecting on her relationship with the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll after the end of their marriage, it was clear that Presley still had so much love and admiration for her former flame. “He was the most beautiful, talented, loving human being I have ever known,” she wrote.
