Proud parents Prince William and Princess Kate were photographed braving the rain as they accompanied Prince George on his first day at Eton College.
The three royals were snapped outside the prestigious boarding school for boys as George, 13, began his exciting new school journey. Eton, which has a long history of famous pupils, is a short distance from the Wales family home.
The future king wore a smart dark suit and brown suede shoes for the milestone moment, while mom Princess Kate donned a dark green dress and heels for the occasion. The 44-year-old was seen beaming at George while clutching an umbrella.

By enrolling at Eton, George is following in the footsteps of his father and uncle Prince Harry, who both attended the school as teens. A place at the school, which provides education from the ages of 13 to 18, costs around $84,400 per year.
Aside from royalty, Eton has a long list of notable alumni including novelist George Orwell and 20 former British prime ministers, including Boris Johnson and David Cameron.
After his father William, George is next in line to the British throne. He is followed by sister Princess Charlotte, 11, and brother Prince Louis, 8.
Estranged brothers Harry and William had very different experiences at Eton, where they overlapped in their studies for three years. In his memoir, “Spare,” Harry reflected on some of his wildest times at the school, including graduating from smoking cigarettes to marijuana with his fellow pupils. He also revealed that theatre was taken very seriously by school officials and that he was forced to act in a production in order to graduate.
William, by contrast, has been a lot more tight-lipped about his Eton days, though his decision to send George there is perhaps a clear enough sign that he thinks highly of the school, which was founded in the 15th century in Berkshire, England.
George, the oldest of the Wales children, turned 13 on July 22. To mark the milestone his parents shared a never-before-seen portrait of him. In the photo the prince wore a dark blazer and crisp white shirt.
This summer, royal watchers have been quick to comment on how grown up the prince is becoming. Photos taken in recent months show that he is almost as tall as mom Kate, who is 5-foot-9-inches.
